We've identified and implemented necessary code optimizations in the way we deal with invalid requests so that it doesn't affect the rest of the service in the future. The fix has been deployed so the issue is now marked as resolved.

The service has stabilised and is performing normally. We will be monitoring and investigate more closely what happen.
